What is unique about the CSX training that ISACA is offering?

  1. True skills-based training and a performance-based grading system
  2. Labs and exams utilize Evalu8, offering performance-based evaluation and scoring of steps. Users are assessed in real time and receive their success metrics and continuing professional education credits at the end of each lab and course.
  3. Alignment with Cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. NICE framework, NIST framework)

Where can I purchase training?

Individual/Non-enterprise customers can purchase training at https://nexus.isaca.org/products. You will need to sign in to your Nexus account, or create a new account and then sign in to complete your purchase.

Business solutions for enterprise customers who want to purchase training for groups should submit purchase inquiries to sales@isaca.org.

What benefits do I get as an ISACA member?

All Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX) Training Platform products for individual purchase are offered at a discounted price for ISACA members. If you are not yet an ISACA member, click HERE to register.

How do I ensure I am getting ISACA member pricing?

To receive discounted member pricing, you will need to go to “My Profile” and enter your ISACA ID into your Nexus profile. This way the store will reflect all Member pricing.

I’m an ISACA member – where do I find my ISACA ID?

To find your ISACA ID, you will need to go to https://www.isaca.org and find the “My ISACA” tab. Once you log in, click on the “My Profile” tab and you will be able to locate your ID within your profile. 

How long can I access my course or lab?

Courses and labs are available for you to continue training and practicing your skills for 6 months from your purchase date.

Training Help

I purchased a lab or course. Where do I go to start and access my training?

Please make sure you sign-in to the CSX Training Platform at https://nexus.isaca.org and click on the “My Training” tab.

My course content will not load. What should I do?

Make sure that your browser is not blocking pop-ups. Click enable pop-ups in your browser options, and try to open the content again.

My browser does not support Flash. What should I do?

If your browser does not support Flash by default, change your settings to allow Flash to run. A clear sign that your browser is blocking Flash from launching is a red symbol at the right end corner of your URL bar. Please note, HTML5 is being applied to all new labs.

I cannot hear any audio in my labs.

The labs do not have vocal instruction, only courses do.

I am encountering an error with the virtual machine. What should I do?

Be sure to refresh your screen, exit and reopen your browser, or try a different browser. If errors persist, contact us at csx@isaca.org.

I am having trouble executing commands within the terminal. What should I do?

Triple check that you are following the directions exactly, and typing scripts exactly as they are given. As always, you can refer to the “hints” button at the bottom-left corner of the screen.

The Evalu8 grading mechanism is not working. What should I do?

  • Be sure you are signing in to the Evalu8 grading mechanism with your correct personal login information.
  • Make sure that you took the step to exit out of all terminals, browsers, and applications in the virtual machine before prompting Evalu8 to grade your work.
  • Following the step-by-step directions exactly throughout the training labs will better ensure accurate scoring. Once you get to a challenge lab (that has no step-by-step directions), there will be more flexible grading, leaving you room to execute alternative paths to success. 

I did not get the grade that I wanted! What should I do?

Practice, practice, practice! Go through the lab again and pay close attention to the steps. The steps are written to be as clear as possible. For example, make sure that your spacing is correct in the terminal commands.

I can get the same result if I don't follow the instructions, why should I follow them?

There are various methods to reach the same outcome in many of these labs. In the instructional labs, we are ensuring that individuals, who have never done this type of effort before, learn one particular method in which they can perform the tasks assigned. In the challenge labs, you are provided more flexibility in the methods you use, allowing you to demonstrate your critical thinking and breadth of ability.
